He received his bachelor and master degrees from highly respected universities in Iran (IUST and KNTU, Tehran), and then his PhD from world-renowned Technical University of Darmstadt, Germany. He has passed two post docs in Belgium and Germany, and is the recipient of Iran's National Elites Foundation Research Award. All of his degrees are in mechanical engineering. His main research and teaching expertise are in the field of Design (Dynamics/FEA), Control, Motion Analysis, Fluid Mechanics, and Biomechanics.
