Life Skills: Understanding & Controlling Your Stress

What makes this course different? Like all of Dr. Brown's courses, this one presents many concepts and tools he has created during his long career. The focus is on his "stress equation" a way to understand stress and know what to do with it. He also takes you through a guided relaxation exercise.

Stress is a universal part of daily life. Without it, life would not be worth living. But too much, and life is also not worth living. This course will enable you to control your level and type of stress so your life is the best it can be.

You will learn the Stress Equation, a simple way to understand and work on a complex issue. You will become expert in: E – R = S. Which means that stress is equal to the difference between your expectations and reality (no math skills necessary). You will also learn how to avoid stress, balance it, and discharge it.

Once you learn the stress equation, you will be able to apply it to any situation.

Our approach also explains that stress can be positive and negative, too much or too little, physical, situational, emotional or mental, debilitating or exciting. It’s a complex topic that you will understand and control whenever it appears or is a possibility.

Part of the course is influenced by sports psychology, where the best arousal level of the athlete must not be too intense or too relaxed. They control this level using techniques you will learn. It also uses findings from behavioral medicine, where patients are prepared to undergo traumatic medical procedures. Learn the best techniques known to make your day great.

Join us, and make the stress in your life optional and under your control.
