Whether you want to learn new skills or brush up on rusty ones, I would love to help. I have been a selling artist for around 35 years. In my own practice I use pen & ink, pastels, oils, acrylics, and watercolours regularly. My work hangs in private collections around the world.
I love what I do, and I teach what I love. We can do good things together here, so let's get started...
About me:
I’m an Ameri-Brit (dual citizen), living on the North Cornwall coast of the UK. I’ve been here nearly two decades, but have lived in Indiana, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Berkshire (UK). I am studying Spanish daily with an aim for becoming bilingual. Hola, artistas.
My work covers everything from graffiti-influenced illustration & mixed media abstracts, to more traditional painting & drawing. I am never bored - despite wizard-level ADHD - because I believe in exploring as many of your wild ideas in art as you can.
You may have seen me as a part of online workshops with Peggy Dean (The Pigeon Letters), demonstrating for Daler-Rowney, various online interviews, on-site painting murals, or teaching workshops & classes to artists of all ages and abilities.
I’ve done a lot of stuff over the years, so if you’d like to learn even more about me, jendixon.com has tonnes of info. (I have an Industrial Design degree, I’ve been Janet in a live production of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, and I was a regional corporate display artist for former (US) national retail giant Musicland Group. Oh, and I had a career in the direct mail print industry for awhile, where I became proper nerdy. I even did web work for a spell. Never bored, I tell ya.)
When I’m not drawing, painting, illustrating, or writing, I play video games, cook (and love to cook for others), participate in beach cleans, sing loudly, and am probably spilling tea down my front.
Mucho gusto. :)
