Exam Tips: Designing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions (AZ-305)

An experienced Technical Lead and Solution Architect with extensive cloud, infrastructure and application design expertise in delivering quality software products for multiple verticals including Healthcare, Pharmaceutical, Civil Nuclear and Manufacturing. An engineer at heart, coupled with an enquiring mind and a strong background in troubleshooting has enabled me to develop a methodical approach in analysing complex problems and delivering innovative solutions. The rapid evolution of cloud computing has added a further dimension to this skillset and am thriving on the challenge of implementing cloud patterns and practices in ever-changing, fast-paced environments. This has fuelled my appetite for learning where I have looked to gain certifications to help keep up to date and use as a springboard for new ideas. These include Azure Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Azure Administrator and Administering Relational Databases on Azure. A pragmatic and approachable leader with a demonstrable history in building adaptable, delivery-focused, multi-functional teams from the ground up. Training and mentoring is something I very much enjoy, sharing knowledge gained from over twenty years in software and helping others identify how to leverage and build on their unique strengths. Was asked to formalise this as a co-author on two Azure Architecture books for Microsoft Press, and now relishing the opportunity of taking this further with future content around DevOps practices and processes.
