About Digital Camera FunctionalityLearn More

A digital camera is an electronic device that uses light-sensitive sensors, usually CCD or CMOS, to take pictures and store them instead of photographic film, and the image taken by the sensor is sent to the camera's memory for use in several steps. The inventor of the digital camera is Steven Sesson, who was an employee of Eastman Kodak when this device was invented, and thus the first digital camera in history was registered by this company. Now, digital technology has made changes in three types of cameras (small camera, medium camera and large camera) as an example of making a digital back for a medium camera that can be installed on a large camera with an adapter. In a digital camera, imaging is not done on film but by a sensitive sensor (charge coupled device (CCD) or complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS)).
