  • Description

Get up and running with the V-Ray 5 rendering engine inside 3ds Max. In this course, instructor Brian Bradley shows how to extend the range of 3ds Max using the many state-of-the-art tools and features found in this edition of the powerful rendering solution. Brian kicks off the course by covering several new tools included in V-Ray 5.1, including the Chaos Cosmos asset library and the new V-Ray camera lister. He then dives into critical V-Ray concepts, including materials, image sampling, maps, and lighting, as well as how to create in-camera effects such as depth of field and motion blur. Plus, he shows how to easily add lifelike effects to your 3D models using FX tools such as VRayFur.

As a long standing User of 3ds Max who started with version 2.0 of the Software I used it and other applications such as Adobe Photsoshop to produce Graphics on a Freelance basis under the 'Geonome' Business name for some 15 years. In September 2007 I along with my son Joel started to produce video training for 3ds Max, Vray, and Mental Ray under the MentalBoutMax brand. Up to 2012 these had been watched and enjoyed by 3ds Max Artists on every Continent of the Globe. As of 2013 we began to focus our energies more towards producing training for established training facilities and online libraries such as Lynda.com as this has allowed us to branch into using a more divers product portfolio. Current Specialities include 3d content creation applications such as; 3ds Max and Blender. Rendering and Lighting Technology including the; VRay, Cycles and Unreal render engines. Also Adobe programs such as Photoshop, Premiere Pro And After Effects.
