  • Description

Architectural visualization renderings allow designers to create amazingly detailed virtual building models, and make the designer-client interaction much easier than in the days of hand-drawn designs. As technology catches up with imagination, it’s now possible to generate extremely detailed interactive architectural visualizations, creating a more engaging experience than just watching a video or flicking through still image renders. In this course, Joel Bradley walks you through the creation of four key types of interactions that will give arch viz artists a wide range of options on their next project. Through the creation of interactive items like computer monitors, swinging doors, and functioning light switches, Joel illustrates how adding interactive behaviors can give a client presentation a sense of immersion that helps the project move smoothly through the design phase.

My name is Joel Bradley and for the past 14 years I have had the privilege of working in the CG Industry. Like many of you, I learned my craft as a freelance generalist who was prepared to do whatever his current job required, be that Modelling, UV Mapping, Particles, or whatever. In fact, if you can name it, I have probably had to do it. For the past 9 years though, I have focused my efforts on education and so have worked to produce video based training for a number of companies, including Epic Games, Linkedin Learning, The Pixel Academy, Lynda.com and Infinite skills. Thanks to my early freelance work, I have been able to cover a wide range of topics in this field such as Modelling, UVW Mapping, Texturing, Rendering, Compositing, Animation, Physics Simulations and more. My current focus however, is on game development and asset creation using Blender, Unreal Engine 4 and my beloved ‘Substance’ toolset from Allegorithmic. In my honest opinion, there is nothing more satisfying than seeing your creations come to life inside a real time engine, and I am hoping that you will be able to get that same buzz from your own work. Feel free to drop me a line regarding my books, or indeed any of my training titles here on Linked In
