Following a look at some of the techniques used by Ansel Adams in the darkroom, Serge shares how to achieve similar effects using Lightroom.
Once you’ve converted a photo to B&W you can use those settings as the starting place for converting another photo from the same shoot.
In this example, Serge demonstrates a technique for a high key B&W.
Sometimes you just need to shoot at a high ISO, but that can be a great starting place for a B&W conversion.
Panoramas can also be great candidates for conversion to B&W.
Creating presets can really speed up your B&W conversions.
Now that you’ve created presets you can put them to use in your workflow.
Serge shares his presets and shows how to install them.
