    Description

TCP is the one of the most overlooked concept of a network engineer. This is one of the most important protocol which should be understood by every Network Engineer to do his or her work effectively. Many people failed interview if they do not have complete picture of TCP. This is one of the most detailed video course ever built on TCP protocol. We will take very simple example from our daily life to talk each and every aspect of TCP protocol. Let’s learn Layer-4 in detail. We are going to cover following topics in this course.

    1. Connection Establishment: Sequence number, Acknowledgement, Segment, TCP headers and flags, TCP 3 Way Handshake and lets see all in Wireshark

    2. Flow Control: Buffering, Data Transfer, Windowing, Opening and Closing of Windows, Connection Termination, silly window syndrome, Nagle’s algorithm. Some examples.

    3. Error Control: Acknowledgement, duplicate AC’s, Ack rules, Checksum, Our-of-Order segments, Retransmission. Some scenarios.

    4. Congestion Control, Timers and Options: TCP Slow start, Congestion Windows, congestion policy, RTO, Persistence Timer, Selective Acknowledgements

    5. Let’s combine all the puzzles and create our TCP header. Believe me you do not need to memorize any field of TCP header because at this point you understand why behind every field. You can create TCP header from scratch.

With 15 years of networking experience under my belt, my journey as a teacher started in 2020, during the height of the Covid pandemic. The IT sector was not immune to the impact with professionals, especially those in networking losing their jobs. People reached out to me with regards to how they could prepare for their next interview since getting an interview call was rare during such trying times. Since I was already guiding and mentoring, time management was a real challenge. I took this opportunity to create a string of courses on YouTube which helped more than 100 people to get new jobs. Simultaneously I was providing training on Network Security, SD-WAN and Cloud fundamentals in Cisco technologies, which are highly regarded across the globe.  My YouTube channel with the name BridgeWhy has more than 6.3K subscribers and has been viewed more than 100 hours each day. I also have 12.7K followers on LinkedIn. Recently, as my weekend project, I have also launched a website with the name "bridgewhy." which has a repository of all of my courses.
Students take courses primarily to improve job-related skills. Some courses generate credit toward technical certification. Udemy has made a special effort to attract corporate trainers seeking to create coursework for employees of their company.
