What is the ToEic test?
ToEic stands for Test of English for International Communication. The ToEic test is an international standard test for English language proficiency for non-native speakers.
This test is specially designed to measure the everyday English skills of people who work in an international environment. This test is designed by ETS organization, which is also the designer and organizer of TOEFL test.
ToEic test has different forms. The listening and reading skills test (Listening & Reading) includes 2 similar tests of activities to evaluate the understanding of the material, which can have 990 marks in the end.
In addition, speaking and writing skills (SPEAKING & WRITING) are also evaluated in the ToEic test. The test of speech skills includes activities that measure the correctness and manner of pronunciation, tone and stress (pronunciation pressure on the parts of each word), vocabulary, grammar, integrity and coherence of speech, relevance of speech and completeness of content.
The written part of the ToEic test also consists of activities that evaluate grammar, connection between sentences and pictures, quality and variety of sentences, vocabulary, organization of the text, and whether the claims of the text have been proven with reasons and examples. Both of these measures are evaluated in the range of 0 to 200.
