Tekken is one of the most beloved fighting game series of all time. This 3D fighting game blends martial arts and technical close-quarters combat with cartoonishly over-the-top characters and storylines to deliver a fighting game truly unlike any other with a flow and feel all its own.
Fighting games subsequently became the preeminent genre for video gaming in the early to mid-1990s, particularly in arcades. This period spawned dozens of other popular fighting games, including franchises like Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Super Smash Bros. and Tekken.
Tekken is known for being 3D and allowing fighters to sidestep and sidewalk, meaning every single part of the arena can be walked in. Certain attacks from fighters can also be dodged by sidestepping.
