    Description

Tai Chi Quan (High Chinese: Tai Ji Quan) is an ancient martial art from China based on Daoist philosophy. The focus is on the interaction between mental and physical training.

The 24 section Tai Chi form is a mixed form and is based on the Yang style Tai Ji Quan.

In this course, the movements are introduced with the help of light coordination exercises and can thus be learned step by step.

Each movement was originally designed for combat. However, many Tai Chi practitioners do not focus on the fighting aspect because they are training only a part of the whole system. Therefore, we will show a few simple Tai Chi applications.

Of course, not all practitioners are expected to become fighters. Nevertheless, the applications serve as a mental support. The functional aspects help to improve the angles and direction of the movements. This will revitalize your mind and body.

For beginners it is recommended to watch the long version with audio first. The advanced experienced Tai Chi practitioners can also watch the short version first, which are noted with keywords.

With the theories and applications, I am by no means claiming that they are the only "original" ways. Or that my style is the only correct one. It is only an attempt to show the common movement concept of Tai Chi by means of the mixed form of the 24 section.

My Tai Chi master (Li Shuli) trains Wu style, but he also let me train, spar and communicate with his friends from other Tai Chi styles and BJJ, Sanda and Shua Jiao practitioners. This resulted in my experience, which will be shown in this course.

    Who this course is for:

    • Anyone interested in Tai Chi and Self-defence
    • No matter young or old. Man or woman. Tai Chi is suitable for all.

ENGStarting as a Judo trainer, I have also worked as a fight stuntman for movies, meeting and communicating with many different fighting styles and martial artists and sparring. Among others I trained with professional boxers in USA, US Marines, semi-professional and amateur Muay Thai World and European and Asian champions and Chinese military and police instructors. Also HEMA and traditional German fencing. My journey in the martial arts world has led me to Tai Ji Quan (Chen, Yang and Wu styles from Northern China, ShenYang) and especially Wing Chun. Wing Chun has become the core and backbone of my school, even though we practice different fighting styles. The concepts and theory in Wing Chun and also Tai Ji help you to understand your own body better and to perceive yourself better. In our school we try to detach the traditional Chinese martial arts from the romanticized image. We explain the traditional techniques and concepts with historical scientific methods, instead of considering everything as myth and legend. The romanticization of Chinese martial arts and the various misinterpretations lead to a so-called "fake" martial arts trend in traditional martial arts. With our courses we try to bring you closer to the original and authentic traditional martial arts.DEAngefangen als Judo Trainer habe ich auch Kampf Stuntman für Filme gearbeitet und dabei viele verschiedene Kampfstile sowie Kampfsportler/künstler kennengelernt und miteinander kommuniziert und Sparring gemacht.
