This course is designed to give you an easy introduction to SQL which allows you to get value from databases right after the course. No unnecessary programming details, just what you need to extract and work with data.
We are going to talk about SQLÂ basics which are useful for data extraction and main manipulations. If you are an analyst yourself this course will be useful for you because this will give a nice and meaningful start in your journey into the depth of SQL. You could practice them on the platform or ask for access from me to practice on my Google Big Query demo server to get a hand on a real database

We are going to talk not only about code but also about the SQLÂ environment, where exactly you can encounter it. IÂ will familiarise you with one of the most popular cloud-based databases Google Big Query. This experience will allow you to understand intuition and reuse this knowledge in different databases and SQLÂ dialects.

Then we will discuss the code and practice it on some analytic-related tasks. We are going to find out how to extract, join, and aggregate data. Then we are going to discuss important concepts of code style and typical errors.
