DescriptionIn this course you will learn how to navigate Roblox Studio, you will build simple objects in studio and learn to script the objects to work. You will get a general understanding of how Roblox Studio works as well as understand some beginner Lua scripting concepts.Â
There are a total of seven videos for the course and they include the following:
1. Introduction
A short summary of the tutorial session explaining what you will learn.
2. Plug Ins
You will insert and use two plugins. Plug Ins add functionality and enhancements to Roblox Studio.
3. Making Sign Posts
You will make two sign posts that we will also script in section 4 of the tutorial.
4. Scripts
You will write four scripts in this section. One for a touch part, that when the player touches the part, it will place the shirt and pants onto the player to wear in game. Another for a click part, that when the player clicks the part, it will place a hat (you will learn to make the hat also) on their head to wear in game. Finally two buttons, that when clicked the player will be prompted to buy either the pants or shirt.
5. Particle Hat
You will learn to make and build a particle hat and script it so that the player can actually put it on and wear it in the game.
6. Wand
You will build a magic wand and script it. When the wand is equipped and the wand animation is played a wand effect will emit from the tip of the wand.
7. Hat Remover
You will build a hat remover shaped like a top hat and script it to work. When the player touches the hat, the particle hat on the players head will be removed.
The entire tutorial is about three hours of video. The format is follow along with video instruction. It is intended for you to follow along using your own Roblox Studio so that you learn via a hands on experience. You should work on a personal computer (PC) and have the ability to load Roblox Studio.  This tutorial is for those of you who are eager to learn scripting and learning to make objects come to life in a game. You will have a beginner level of understanding of Roblox Studio at the end of this tutorial. Â
