Reshaping data is an important step in data management and organization. Statistical methods or data visualization techniques require data to be either wide or long. This course focuses on how to reshape data into wide and long formats using R.

Okan Bulut is an Associate Professor of Educational Measurement, Psychometrics, and Data Science and an active member of the Centre for Research in Applied Measurement and Evaluation at the University of Alberta. He teaches undergraduate-level and graduate-level courses on psychometrics, statistics, data mining, and programming. Okan's current research interests include statistical programming, interactive data visualization, computer based testing, and technology-enhanced assessments. Okan is a passionate R user that constantly benefits from R in both his research projects and the courses he has taught. In addition, Okan has authored three packages, profileR, hemp, and eirm, in R. In his spare time, Okan enjoys visiting mountains, hiking trails, and nature photography.
