    Description

Jellybean Academy’s TEAM X-49 Ninja Special Ops Technical Agents program is not just another course about Raspberry Pi, but a unique mission resource group that combines learning with technical education and fun.

Team X-49 Agents focus on computer security and rescue missions. The program offers an exciting and approachable way for team members of all ages to learn simple and complex Raspberry Pi concepts.

Unlike other Raspberry Pi programs, Team X-49 explores the features of the Raspberry Pi through a common theme of “Identify the problem . . . find a solution. “

By enrolling and completing the Raspberry Pi Ninja Special Ops Technical Agent program, you will learn to transform the tiny Raspberry Pi microcomputer board into a versatile tool for secret agent activities such as audio and video surveillance, Wi-Fi scanning, or playing pranks on friends. Utilize cameras or sensors to detect intruders, triggering alarms or sending alerts to your phone. Discover the activities of other computers on your network while also ensuring your anonymity on the internet.

Throughout the program, the Team Captains present technical concepts in an engaging way that is not only applicable to Raspberry Pi but also to Linux-based systems in general. As such, this course is ideal for aspiring spies, coders, hackers, circuit designers, and computer security engineers.

The program offers coding and hardware development challenges to demonstrate the versatility of the Raspberry Pi. Maybe the challenge would be to develop a code/hardware combination to create a remote listening device or maybe to create a remote proximity system.

In one of the missions, the challenge is to create a circuit that will disguise your voice as a sci-fi robot or a chipmunk, making the art of pranking fun and educational.

Overall, The Team-X49 Ninja Special Ops Technical Agent program offers a unique approach to learning Raspberry Pi concepts by combining the power of the Raspberry Pi with fundamental electronics, coding, hardware interfacing, and computer security.

The program places heavy emphasis on technical education . . . and fun!

Jim embarked on his professional journey as an Electronics Instructor at Missouri Technical School in St. Louis, where he laid the foundation of his career. Initially focused on teaching, he gradually shifted his attention to the administrative aspects of technical education. Over time, his dedication and vision propelled him to purchase the school. Under his astute leadership and program development goals, the institution achieved national accreditation, solidifying its reputation in the field.Subsequently, Jim decided to explore new horizons and transitioned into the realm of television broadcasting. He kickstarted his broadcasting career at KPLR TV in St. Louis, assuming the role of Engineering Supervisor. In this capacity, he shouldered the responsibility of overseeing the technical operations of the television station, along with video production and editing. During his early experiences with video editing, he grappled with massive racks of electronic equipment and managed multiple videotape machines. These formative encounters paved the way for his seamless adaptation to modern, computer-based, non-linear editing processes prevalent today. He has witnessed numerous generations of video editing programs and witnessed the overall evolution of video production techniques.Even now, Jim remains actively engaged in the Video Broadcast Industry, leveraging his extensive expertise and knowledge. Additionally, he collaborates with talented individuals to develop online training programs, creating opportunities for aspiring professionals in the field.Experience:Founder - Jellybean AcademyBroadcast Engineer for FOX, CW, WB Affiliates
My Dad introduced me to photography when I was just a boy.  He taught my brother and me the fundamentals of darkroom practices, chemicals, enlargers, printing, film developing, and printing techniques. I worked in the photo-journalism departments of both Jr. and Sr. High Schools using everything from sheet film to 35mm. In college, I worked for a professional portrait studio as a lab tech and photographer. When new technology emerged affording many of us the capabilities of shooting video I eagerly adopted the 8mm film and soon the VHS and Beta tape platforms.  It wasn't long before the much smaller 8mm videotape and Hi8 emerged on the scene.  DV and mini DV machines popped up to capture our motion pictures and when the hard drive and the introduction of the mini DVD camcorders I thought we finally arrived!  Here I was, burning my HD movies right on a playable DVD that I could pop into any player or edit suite.  Of course, we've progressed way beyond that these days with the advent of compact solid state media storage and DSLRs that shoot amazing HD video. Needless to say, most of today's smartphones with multiple lenses, image stabilization, and editing capabilities put a lot of DSLRs in the dust.     All this time I've been a freelance photographer, videographer, and avid hobbyist.  In my most recent professional career, I worked as a broadcast maintenance engineer at Fox2 in St. Louis, picking up new studio techniques for a professional look. In addition, for the past couple of decades, I've been building and managing websites using HTML5 and a variety of content management systems.  I've been a photo and video contributor for IHS Productions, Art of Film, and LLS Media Solutions. VideoSkills Academy, JellybeanTelevision, and JellybeanAcademy. Keeping up with the advances in technology can be challenging and enriching. I desire to share with you the experiences I've gained over the years that have given me unbelievable enjoyment and satisfaction.
