Previously he led the Storefront Engineering team at Wayfair, ran engineering at Attend, and before that he was a senior software engineer at Etsy, where he focused on solving web performance and scalability challenges. He started the Boston Web Performance Meetup Group, and he contributes to a few open-source projects, including the HTTPArchive, WebPagetest, CSSLint, and Hound (which he co-created).

Since first moving its courses online in 2007, the company has expanded, developing a full enterprise platform, and adding skills assessment modules.
