Welcome to "Take Amazing Photographs," the photography course that will change the way you see the world through the lens of your camera. This course is designed to take you beyond the rules and technical aspects of photography and show you how to create images that are meaningful and impactful.

My approach to photography is different from other courses you may have taken. Instead of teaching you a set of rules and techniques to follow, I focus on helping you discover your unique artistic voice. I believe that photography is an art form, and that your vision and creativity are the most important elements of your craft.

Through a series of carefully designed lessons and exercises, you'll learn how to develop your creative eye, find inspiration in the world around you, and tell compelling visual stories through your photographs.

Whether you're a beginner or an experienced photographer, this course is designed to help you take your skills to the next level.

In "Take Amazing Photographs," I believe that the best way to learn is by doing. That's why each of the seven in-depth sessions includes an assignment that is specifically designed to help you put the concepts you've learned into practice.

And to make sure you don't forget any of the valuable information from each session, I provide downloadable "fieldnotes" that summarize the key concepts and techniques. These fieldnotes are designed to be printed and taken with you when you go shoot, so you can refer back to them whenever you need a reminder.

Throughout the course, we'll explore more than 200 of my own images, including 15 in-depth case studies that give you a behind-the-scenes look at the thought process behind each image. You'll see how I approach different subjects and techniques and learn how to apply those same principles to your own work.

I am a self-taught photographer who gained an understanding of composition from my father and learned darkroom fundamentals at a community college when I was 12. Since then, it’s been a journey of discovery and evolution.My photography today is conceptual: I re-contextualize everyday objects raising questions on contemporary issues including politics, place, and aging. I’m not constrained by certain themes; rather I continually try new subjects as I find them or borrow them, changing techniques and cameras as the situation dictates.I continually look for new ways to approach life as art and help others look at life and their work differently.
