  • Description

This course will teach you how the transport layer and application layer work together in order to deliver the most important network services, which are key skills needed for the Network+ certification exam.

    What You'll Learn?

Application layer protocols are the interface between user applications, like a web browser, and the data network. Most people use a smartphone, and simply having a single app installed on your phone, you will use many application layer protocols which you may not be aware of. In this course, Networking Concepts: TCP, UDP, and Application Layer Protocols CompTIA Network+, you'll learn about the most important application layer protocols and how they make use of transport layer protocols. First, you'll explore the most important protocol in moving data across a network, Transmission Control Protocol (TCP). Next, you'll discover the most important application layer protocols, and how they are used. Finally, you'll learn how DHCP, NTP, and DNS are used as the supporting cast of protocols to enable surfing the web to be a relatively seamless process. When you’re finished with this course, you’ll have the skills and knowledge of transport and application layer protocols needed for the Network+ certification exam.
