  • Description

This course will explore network monitoring, documentation, and disaster recovery.

    What You'll Learn?

Supporting networks requires engineers to collect and analyze information to make sure devices are passing information properly. Additionally, policies and procedures are necessary to make sure support staff can support networks in a coordinated way as well as being able to plan and react accordingly when things go wrong. In this course, Network Management and Operations, you’ll learn about the components of network documentation, monitoring, and disaster recovery. First, you’ll explore a live network monitoring server, where you will see many of the common data points engineers analyze to ensure proper network operation, Next, you’ll discover how engineers collect data for network monitoring. Then, you’ll examine networking documentation including drawings, policies and procedures, and security policies. Finally, you’ll learn how engineers plan for disasters and prevent outages when they occur. When you’re finished with this course, you’ll have the skills and knowledge of network management and operations needed to support data networks.
