    Description

    Overview:

This course is focused on Cisco switches configuration and almost everything you need to know about them. The topologies are very much self-explanatory and created in different environments (mostly PnetLab, a free tool compatible with Eve-NG) but they can be very easily created on real gear. There would be minor differences in syntax based on the image that you use on your device (or simulated environment).

All the commands are explained in detail. I have tried not to miss anything and I have given the reasons you might want to implement a feature or execute a commands so that you can decide your design.

    Syllabus:

The course contains (but is not limited to):

    • what you should do when you receive a new switch

    • how to do basic configurations

    • ISL and Dot1q protocols and how to configure access and trunk ports (dynamically or statically)

    • how to configure VLANs

    • VTP protocol features and how to configure different versions

    • PAgP and LACP protocols and how to configure link aggregation

    • Loop-free switched network and how to configure Spanning Tree Protocol variations (STP, RSTP, MSTP, MST)

    • Spanning Tree Protocol extra features (LoopGuard, BPDUGuard, BPDUFilter, ...)

    • Port Security features and configuration

    • First Hop Redundancy Protocols (HSRP, VRRP, GLBP) in detail

    • and many tips and tricks!

Lectures would be added on demand to the course to make it richer and more valuable to you. Also, I will personally answer your questions ASAP, in case you have any problem with the contents and studies.

    Good luck!

I have trained more than 1200 direct and 45000 online students for CCNA, CCNP and CCIE Routing and Switching courses. I started as a Microsoft guy (like most of network experts!) and then ended up to become a network expert, first as a trainer and video tutorial presenter and then as a consultant for many small to medium to large enterprises. This consultant role gave me some huge and precious experience that I could add to my courses and make them richer than before.I hope my courses on Udemy can help you to achieve your goals and become the one you wish to become.Good luck with your studies!Mohammad Imani
Students take courses primarily to improve job-related skills. Some courses generate credit toward technical certification. Udemy has made a special effort to attract corporate trainers seeking to create coursework for employees of their company.
