    Description

Are you interested in robotics and don't know where to start? The best way to get started with robotics is to learn the necessary basic concepts in the correct order, as each subsequent concept is related to the previous one. This course has been designed to provide theory without going into unnecessary detail. Compared to books, this course also provides coding and simulation to supplement theoretical knowledge with practical.

In this course you will learn:

    • methods of direct kinematics

    • methods of inverse kinematics

    • representation of position in robotics

    • rotation matrix and homogeneous transformation matrix

    • implement mathematical model in Matlab

    • create a simple Simulink model

    • verify theoretical formulas in Matlab

All these methods will be explained in this course and will be shown on the example of a simple robotic arm.

Almost every manufacturer has its own software, but the basis is still the same: Mathematical description is the key to bring the robot to life. Direct and inverse kinematics are the key approaches in every robotic device.

In this course, we will implement the mathematical model in the Matlab/Simulink environment. All materials will then be uploaded to the course page.

For this course you need to master the basics of mathematics.

    Who this course is for:

    • Anyone who wants to start with robotics and understand the basic principles

    Instructor's Courses
Hey, I'm Joseph and I'm happy that you are here!I am a Control Engineer with several years of experience working with robots.Despite having an Engineering background, I'm a ROS self learner and I know how tough and demotivating it can be rushing through all the online documentation. I think that the best way to learn something is to build something that you can play with.
Students take courses primarily to improve job-related skills. Some courses generate credit toward technical certification. Udemy has made a special effort to attract corporate trainers seeking to create coursework for employees of their company.
