About Instructor

After my grandmother told me a story about visiting heaven, I set out on a quest to ‘Make Sense Out Of Religion.’ I started by exploring Pentecostal Christianity and studying the Bible. But after my grandparents passed away I became desperate to know: what happens when we die? A journey through Christianity and Catholicism ended in atheistic doubts. With my faith broken, I descend into the salacious world of pickup artists, sex, and seduction. Save for a chance encounter with a  world traveler who introduced me to Joseph Campbell's work, I descended and deeper into the shadows of society, psychedelic drugs, and the unconscious mind. After years of reading, research, and study, Buddhist meditations and wisdom from the Hindu Upanishads resulted in an encounter with supernatural beings in a near-death-experience. I spent the next few years putting everything I had learned together into a tidy model that explains religion. It's this model I share with students.
