I am a filmmaker, teacher, trainer and consultant in Moving Image Education. My work is focused on literacy and how we use it to make meaning in the digital world.“Literacy is currently at a fascinating stage of development where traditional print makes up the bulk of book sales and curriculum tools, but understanding screen based online reading and writing is becoming increasingly essential” – (The Future of Literacy in the Digital Age, Scottish Government)I have set up a Rock School for young people and a Film School for my local community. I have worked for the BBC and with many organisations including: The Royal Shakespeare Company, Screen Scotland, Creative Scotland, Future Woodlands Scotland, Trees for Life, Findhorn Bay Arts, Into Film, Arts in Motion, The Findhorn Foundation and many local councils.I integrate active learning in film education with personal development.
