Accomplishments:We use DMC in numerous chemical plants and refineries worldwide and significantly improve plant automation. We designed and implemented DMC controllers in over 25 plants worldwide. Applied RMPCT in oil refineries with numerous process operational improvements. Invented and applied a new method for improving MPC/DMC models using plant data.Practical Control Room Experience in Numerous Plants.Inside the control room of many chemical plants and refineries, we tuned PID and cascade controllers in several DCS and PLC systems. We designed and implemented feedforward and override selector constraint control schemes in several DCSs. Conducted troubleshooting of process and process control problems followed by improvements inside DCS or PLC with optimized PID/APC tuning and improvements in DCS or PLC configuration. We train control engineers, and DCS/PLC technicians on primary process control, PID tuning, DCS and PLC functionality, safety and reliability, startup, and commissioning.
