LC Ong boasts over two decades of experience within the training and development sector. Her professional journey commenced as a mortgage executive at a bank, where she honed her skills in sales and customer service. Subsequently, she transitioned to a role within an association's training division, specialising in areas such as people management, training management, marketing, sales, and customer service.During the initial stages of the Covid-19 pandemic, she played a pivotal role in introducing e-learning as a viable alternative for training amidst lockdowns. This involved the implementation of a comprehensive learning management system and various tools to facilitate efficient e-learning program management.Following 18 years of dedicated service within the company, Ms Ong embarked on a new chapter in her career, assuming a senior management position at a higher learning institution. In this capacity, she shouldered multiple responsibilities encompassing corporate training, professional education, certification programs, and staff development. Her role extended to collaborative endeavours with external agencies and partners for special projects.Notably, Ms Ong holds certification as an HRD Corp trainer and is recognised as a Certified Master Trainer for Educator at Virtual Learning Environment by the Ministry of Higher Education in Malaysia. Her educational background includes a bachelor's degree in international relations, where she delved into the realms of global politics and the socio-historical impacts of worldwide development. This academic pursuit has nurtured her exceptional problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
