Hello! I’m Nzangi Muimi, a Quantity Surveyor and Educator based in Nairobi, Kenya. It's a pleasure to meet you on Udemy.My goal here is to be able to share as much as I have learned from the projects I have worked on and the various concepts that I am continually researching and writing about. I have worked in the construction industry managing construction projects for my clients and advising them on costs and project-based financial management.As part of my research work, I am interested in the area of construction information management, particularly building information modelling. My past articles have been featured in “The BuildPress”; a magazine by the Architectural Association of Kenya and “The Quantity Surveyor”; a journal by the Institute of Quantity Surveyors of Kenya.I have mastered the software that I use on a day-to-day basis to accomplish tasks. These include ArchiCAD & Revit (for BIM and CAD), Microsoft Project for project scheduling, WordPress CMS for building websites and Excel for preparing cost estimates, budgets and bills of quantities. On this platform, I endeavour to share what I have learned over time in a simple easy-to-follow step-by-step approach to ensure that my students grasp every concept that I teach.I, also, hope to share inspirations about my journey to motivate everyone here to give their best in everything they do as they build excellence with passion.Cheers.
