Welcome - my name is Mitch Hegman, and I'm here to help improve your knowledge, safety, and skills when using electrical testing tools. No matter your understanding of and skill level using meters and test instruments, there will be something of value to you in my classes.I'm a Master Electrician with an electrical career that spans 45 years– 28 in the field and 17 as a professional instructor. My teaching career began as an instructor at the Montana Electrical Joint Apprenticeship Council, where I worked my way up to the training director position. In 2010, I started my private training company (Solid State Educators).I teach electricians, apprentices, engineers, STEM students, production and manufacturing technicians, solar installers, hobbyists, and homeowners. I also consult commercial and industrial clients on the National Electrical Code and NFPA 70E (Electrical Safety in the Workplace).My training clientele includes the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), the National Electrical Contractor's Association (NECA), Boeing, NorthWestern Energy, and the Federal Government. I'm also the author of Taking Measure (How to Safely and Competently Use Your Digital Multimeter).Thank you for your interest and participation!
