Hi, I’m Meredith Goodwin MD, a seasoned Board Certified Family Physician with over three decades of dedicated practice. Family Physicians are the healthcare professionals who provide comprehensive care, guiding individuals through every stage of life, from birth to the twilight years. Our focus extends beyond treating ailments to the proactive prevention of health issues.My journey in medicine began with the earnest aspiration shared by most of my medical school peers: to make a positive impact on people's lives. I completed my medical education at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City, then went on to residency training at UCLA in their Family Medicine Residency Program.Throughout my medical career, I've had the privilege of serving as full-time faculty at three different medical schools and supervising family medicine residents at two others. My commitment to ongoing education has been unwavering. One principle that I always stressed to both students and residents was from one of my own medical school professors. He wisely emphasized that much of the knowledge imparted during our medical school years could become obsolete within just five years. It's a challenge for many physicians to break free from the knowledge they internalized during their formative years as medical professionals, even as the field of medical information expands exponentially.
