Meenakshi Muthuraman

My name is Meenakshi. I am a self-taught artist, instructor, and entrepreneur based in Coimbatore, India. I love playing with colors. I work with oils, acrylics, and occasionally watercolor. I'm so obsessed with acrylics.

I'm inspired by nature. I thought myself to be really good at art until I started observing things around me. The Creator is indeed the best artist of this universe. All my paintings will have something to do with nature. The loveliest part of the painting is squeezing the tube and watching the paint come out of it. Just watching it would relax me.

Love for thick paints

I currently work a lot on Impasto paintings where the paints literally pop-up off the page. I do so using simple palette knives, spoons and occasionally I use my hands to mix colors, which allows me to play with dimension. My technique is just like ''icing cupcakes''. I personally feel knife painting to be very relaxing and meditating.

You can expect classes on acrylics, floral drawings, watercolors, and other fun projects.
