About Instructor

Marc is a Project Manager and Urban Designer with 10 years experience working at the intersection between biophilic climate adaptation and everyday messy urbanism. He creates inclusive, resilient urban morphologies rooted in the local vernacular - where making better places for people is inextricably linked to a positive impact on the global climate. He believes that a truly resilient city is a place where all people have options to thrive. Prior to joining Perkins&Will, Marc was an Urban Designer and City Planner with the City of Portland Bureau of Planning and Sustainability. Marc’s recent work has been recognized by the American Planning Association (APA), Association of University Research Parks (AURP), and Next City, who named him one of their Next City Vanguards.
