Lindsey Crosbie has spent more than two decades working as a riding instructor, equine assisted practitioner and equine behaviourist in the UK and abroad. She is a Board-Certified Equine Interaction Professional (CEIP-ED). The Certification Board for Equine Interaction Professionals (CBEIP) promotes independent certification for mental health professionals or educators who incorporate equines into their therapy or education/coaching practice. The credentials indicate verification of extensive professional experience and independent assessment of knowledge for including equine interactions within mental health (MH) or education/coaching professions (ED).Lindsey also holds Equine Assisted Therapy and Learning certifications from Way of the Horse and EAGALA. She is a Professional Association for Therapeutic Horsemanship certified therapeutic riding instructor who is also a certified mentor, meaning that she can support trainees through the certification process.In 2017, she trained in Colorado with the world-renowned therapeutic riding instructor Terena Thomas, becoming the only person in the UK to hold Hooves for the Heart Instructor certification. Lindsey is also certified in the Stable Moments method of equine assisted learning. These certifications enable her to specialise in working with children and young people who have experienced developmental trauma or attachment wounds. Lindsey holds a certificates in Integrated Somatic Trauma Therapy and Person Centred Planning and Life Coaching. She is a trained Mental Health First Aider.Lindsey is also a CEVAS certified therapeutic care farming practitioner who uses animals and the outdoors to help people learn, grow and reconnect with nature.
