About Instructor
As a professor at Bloomsburg University, I help people understand the convergence of learning, technology, games & game-thinking through fun, laughter and insight (grounded by evidence-based practices). I've written several books on gamification but believe "Game-Thinking" is a more powerful tool.
Don't hire a "gamification guru" hire a learning professional who happens to specialize in gamification.
I am a professional in the field of learning and e-learning with a focus on interactive learning, games and gamification. I literally wrote the book on gamification of learning and instruction.
I am an Instructional Technology Graduate Professor at Bloomsburg University in Bloomsburg, PA. as Director of Bloomsburg's Institute for Interactive Technologies.
I wear many hats...consultant, entrepreneur, speaker, board member, book author, Lynda.com (LinkedIn Learning) author, scholar, L&D coach and researcher on the convergence of learning, technology and business operations focused on creating engaging and meaningful learning events at all levels.
I actively work to share insights and perspectives through writing, consulting and coaching with clients, practitioners, students and fellow academicians in the field of learning.
I help others to create interactive, motivating learning through my face-to-face workshops, online courses, consulting, coaching and publications. I'd be happy to discuss with you a speaking or consulting engagement or how you might use some of the tools I'm creating in your classroom or corporate training environment.
I am the founder of “The Learning and Development Mentor Academy” which is a member-only consortium of L&D professionals which provides those professionals with self-paced courses and live, monthly educational sessions as well as a place to collaborate.
I am also co-founder of a game platform called The Enterprise Game Stack which uses a card paradigm to teach sales, leadership and negotiation skills.
