About Instructor

I aim to support companies and organisations to apply insights from geospatial technology to solve environmental challenges and issues related to natural hazards, disasters, climate change and habitat fragmentation. Recent clients include the Zoological Society of London (ZSL), the International Finance Coorporation (IFC), and RightSize Consultancy. In addition to my freelance work, I work for a humanitarian INGO, having worked in Tunisia, Kenya, South Sudan and Ukraine, where I conduct research and remote sensing to support early warning and response to environmental hazards. I have also worked for the Zoological Society of London’s Conservation Programme, where I led geospatial activities, including the development of conservation landscapes and delineation of wildlife corridors through landscapes fragmented by deforestation, fires and human encroachment.I have also worked in Malawi, where I led GIS and remote sensing activities for disaster risk reduction projects. Other assignments include working with the volcanology departments at both the University of Colima in Mexico and the Institute of Geophysics in Ecuador.Overall, I bring a range of experience from various environmental fields and am passionate about solving the problems facing the world today using innovative tools and technologies.
