I am a self-taught photographer with over 10 years of experience. I've spent years piecing together all of the information needed to build a great foundation for starting a wedding photography business and want to pass that hard-earned knowledge on to you.I started out my working career as a substitue teacher, dreading going to work everyday because it wasn't something I loved. I didn't want to live a life that made me drained, tired, and miserable, but I had no idea what to do next because my degree was in teaching.One day a recently engaged friend asked me to use my beginner camera to take some engagement photos for him, and to my surprise, I didn't totally bomb it! He paid me $500 and asked me to be his wedding photographer and before I knew it, I was hooked! I dove headfirst into learning all the things I could to become a wedding photographer, and I finally got to LOVE what I did - even if it was just a weekend wedding gig.  10 years later, I have my own full-time, 6-figure wedding photography business that helped me create a life that I love, support my family, the ability to travel, and most importantly, to make meaningful relationships and provide excellent service that I can feel good about when I go to sleep at night.
