About Instructor

Hello everyone!  A little bit about me, I’ve been a maker most of my life. In the Navy, I worked in the Advanced Electronics field playing with radars, pneumatic weapon systems, and all kinds of fun toys as you can imagine. In my professional life, I’ve worked alongside Engineers on several mechanical and electronics projects in which I had to become IPC certified, which is essentially a professional soldering certification.  Sounds fancy huh?  :)In 2013, I was lucky enough to become an Engineering Design Technician at Rice University’s Oshman Engineering Design Kitchen.  To date, I've taught well over a hundred Engineering undergraduate students how to solder for their Engineering projects as well as assisting them in their Engineering designs. Helping to guide students and teach them skills that they'll carry with them for the rest of their life is such a rewarding experience for me.  So much so, that I want to develop courses to help individuals who want to improve their skills without having to get a fancy degree.  It's my goal to give quality information, in an easy-to-understand format, without taking up too much of your time.  With any luck, I'll be able to achieve that with each new course I create.  I wish you the best in your learning endeavors, and hope to see you around the Udemy "campus".  :)Take care!
