Catherine Little

HI, I'm Catherine. I'm a classically-schooled cellist with Master's degree in music performance from the Université de Montréal. I love expressing myself through music. I perform with professional orchestras, chamber ensembles, in the studio, on film, and of course, on stage.I'm also a teacher and I have taught cellists of all ages and abilities for over 15 years. My experience working one on one with adult beginners was the inspiration for this course. I saw there was a need for a course that would cover the very foundations of playing. I also noticed that taking that extra moment to examine the details is what ultimately skyrockets the learning process. So I've made it my goal to get students to slow down, be aware of themselves, and to cover important details. Finally, I've learned how important relaxing and feeling joyful is for good cello playing, so that's what I encourage my students to do, every step of the way.I'm excited to share my knowledge, to learn from you as well, and to find creative ways to help you on your musical path.
