About Instructor

Mostafa is a geotechnical engineer and academic with more than 25 years of industrial and research experience. His academic qualifications include Masters and PhD degrees in geotechnical engineering.  Among many positions he held, Mostafa taught for the University of Western Australia in Perth as an Associate Professor.Mostafa ‘s industrial experience includes senior positions with Advanced Geomechanics in Perth (now Fugro) where he worked as a Principal Geotechnical Engineer for numerous offshore projects.  Mostafa worked as an Associate with Arup and undertook the role of the Geotechnical Numerical Lead for the Australasia region, where he was extensively involved in a variety of challenging projects, including design and analysis of deep excavations, tunneling, pile foundations, retaining structures in difficult soils and offshore foundations.Mostafa's expertise includes strong numerical modeling using PLAXIS and ABAQUS, among many other software applications.
