I have accumulated over three decades of expertise in the IT field, having held senior leadership positions with esteemed companies like Dell Services, Perot Systems, and CMC Ltd.; now part of TATA Consultancy Services. Today, I'm an independent IT consultant.In my current role, I assist clients in enhancing their business performance metrics, effectively addressing software delivery management challenges, and unlocking their full potential through consulting, coaching, mentoring, and training. My extensive experience has armed me with a wealth of knowledge and skills to tackle diverse challenges successfully.I hold a master's degree in business management and another in software systems. Over the years, I've gained hands-on experience in the IT industry, spanning various industries, geographies, and application areas.I've been privileged to be part of SWAT teams tasked with turning around projects, allowing me to analyze the root causes of project failures and implement preventive measures.Besides delivering several large systems integration projects I undertook several general management assignments, providing me with a comprehensive 360-degree view of the industry and business.For instance, I set up global software delivery centers from the ground up in countries like China and integrated them with the larger organization's delivery framework. I have managed global delivery organizations and transformed the global applications delivery process frameworks.I've had the opportunity to participate in due diligence processes for the merger and acquisition of target companies, which expanded my understanding of the industry.Additionally, I've been part of the CMMI Level 5 recertification audit team using SCAMPI, an acronym for Standard CMMI Appraisal Method for Process Improvement.I've been involved in various organizational initiatives to review and optimize the global quality and operational excellence function, providing insights into the design and implementation of the delivery management process framework.I'm proud to be a co-author of 'SanFrancisco Frameworks - Getting Started,' a Java-based framework published by IBM Press.I also regularly contribute to 'Electronics For You,' South Asia's most popular electronics magazine.I've received training from the Software Engineering Institute at Carnegie Mellon University, USA, on Capability Maturity Model Integration, Staged Representation.Drawing from years of diverse organizational experiences, I've distilled my wisdom and insights into this series, offering you a shortcut to success without the need to reinvent the wheel or face unnecessary challenges.I'm a people person and passionate about sharing my knowledge.
