Arie Swanepoel

I am a watercolorist and an Art Instructor. I love watercolours because of the transparency and luminosity I can achieve with them.  When I paint, I am interested in painting shapes, colours, lines, and mood rather than painting the subject. My work is known for my Loose expressive painting style.I have been painting for almost 20 years and some of my artwork are in private collections in the USA, UK, Canada, Belgium, Portugal, and South Africa. I am a member of The International Watercolor Society South Africa (IWSSA). I do not have all the answers but can show you my way of painting to create freedom , expression, and vitality with my watercolours.I’ve invested years in learning the fundamentals behind watercolour art.
