Kathy is a seasoned human resources professional, passionate instructor, and career coach. Specializing in workforce planning and talent development, Kathy's professional experience spans over a decade in Human Resources practice with Global Fortune 500 and national companies in multiple industries such as retail, manufacturing, technology, financial services, and entertainment. Kathy also spent the last seven years teaching and motivating many students at PHR Learning to achieve their Human Resources certifications.Kathy attained her Bachelor's degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) with Cum Laude honor and a Master's degree in Organization Development and Change at Pennsylvania State University. She also achieved her Advanced Strategic Human Resources Management certificate at Cornell University Graduate School in New York.Kathy has demonstrated her mastery in global human resources knowledge and real-world application of forward-thinking HR practices by achieving premium HR credentials - Certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR)® with the HR Certification Institute (HRCI) and SHRM-Certified Professional (SHRM-CP®) with The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). Outside of work, Kathy is an active alumna in her UCLA alma mater and has served as a mentor for many college students from underserved communities to achieve better possibilities in their careers.
