I am an internationally known expert in the application of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) in healthcare. My team and I built and published several machine learning models in different specialties in medicine. I was the Director of the Center for Clinical AI at the Cleveland Clinic. I also built a team of data scientists and machine learning engineers that focused on solving healthcare problems using AI/ML at Amazon Web Services. I built and taught several courses on the application of AI in healthcare at the Lerner College of Medicine and the Case Western Reserve University Computer Science School. I was fortunate to mentor more than fifteen medical students, residents, fellows, and data scientists who built amazing machine learning algorithms and went on to use their AI/ML knowledge to solve more healthcare problems.
