DescriptionThis course discusses principles of instructional design and assessment. It discusses concepts, principles, and applications of teaching, learning, and assessment design in a student-centered learning environment. Moreover, it focuses on principles and constitute a student-centered learning belief and practice and emphasizes concepts and principles on learning outcome formulation, thinking process, student engagement, constructive alignment, test construction mechanics, authentic assessments, and the role of feedback.
The course is divided into 3 chapters: (A) Instructional Design; (B) Instructional Assessment; and (C) Instructional Materials Development. It is composed of 11 minilecture videos and focuses on the following topics:
1. Instructional Designing
2. Teaching Approaches and Methods
3. Traditional Assessment
4. Authentic Assessment
5. Rubric Development and Feedback
6. Online Learning Pedagogy
7. Flipped Classroom
8. Instructional Materials Development
9. Spiral Progression
10. Freire's Pedagogy of the Oppressed
11. Why Students Don't Like Learning at School
At the end of this course, students are expected that they can:
