DescriptionHello! Welcome to Part 1 of my Cambridge IGCSE Physics Course! I'm thrilled that you have taken an interest to be here and I do hope that by the end of this course you will have mastered the topics that you are struggling with at the moment.
This is not a theoretical course, emphasis here is not on explaining physics concepts in an abstract way, but rather on explaining them in context of actual exam questions. By viewing 10 or 15 different questions targeting the same concept from different perspectives, you will gain a much deeper and much more solid understanding of it, and then you move on to the next concept until all the concepts in this course are fully mastered and you're ready to ace your exam!
The best way to make use of this course depends on where your current position is:
1)Â If you feel overwhelmed and you want to start from scratch then you should watch the videos straight away. You should watch each video twice, on the second run, you should pause and try to answer each question before watching me answer it for you.
2)Â If you feel you have a moderate knowledge of the concepts but you want to elevate your level and get ready for the exam, maybe you should begin with the pdf attached to each video. It offers questions and answers on the topic, you can start solving and checking against the model answer, and when something seems confusing, you can open the video and speed up to the question you are on, and just watch from there. The sequence of questions is the same in each video and the corresponding pdf.
This course offers a comprehensive guide to the mechanics module of IGCSEÂ Physics (Cambridge Curriculum). It includes questions classified by topic/subtopic/difficulty level in each of the various subdomains of mechanics (for example: Density, Pressure, Forces, Motion, Moments, Momentum, Hooks Law), spanning both multiple choice questions (paper 2) and short answer questions (paper 4).
This course is divided into chapters for different topics in mechanics as follows:
Chapter 1:Â General Physics (topics:Â measurements and density)
Chapter 2:Â Motion (topics: motion with constant speed, acceleration, speed time graphs, distance time graphs)
Chapter 3:Â Forces (topics:Â equilibrium, newton's laws, mass and weight)
Chapter 4:Â Applications (topics:Â moments, momentum, springs, pressure)
In each chapter you will find multiple videos, each of which addresses a particular topic. Some videos are longer than others because I've tried as much as possible to groups similar ideas in a single video, and some ideas appeared more often in exam past papers than others.
I hope this course brings you one step further to achieving great results in your final exams.
