After 17 years as an International swimmer winning 12 Paralympic medals from 5 Games I have subsequently been supporting senior executive teams of global organisations for 20 years. One facet of this is my work as a motivational speaker & conference host, which I deliver with an aim to inspire in a humorous and moving manner. My lead speech is Personal Best which gives insights into personal responsibility, leadership, teamwork and motivation. It is a journey that took me from cancer patient to multiple Gold medalist. In 2019 I founded Equiida which helps senior leaders improve business performance by placing inclusion, diversity and belonging at the heart of their organisation. We do this by integrating expertise in leadership assessment, executive search, succession planning, coaching, team effectiveness and cultural evolution to make sure you have the right combination of people, culture and strategy to thrive in a constantly shifting world. This leads to higher levels of innovation, engagement, attraction and retention and helps organisations better represent the diverse communities within which they operate. Author In 2005 I wrote Personal Best, a combination of my life story and personal development advice. "Personal Best is a truly inspirational book, written with great honesty, compassion and humility. Marc's ability to overcome adversity and triumph in so many diverse areas is an example to us all. His immense sporting achievements and his work on behalf of the Teenage Cancer Trust is unequalled and his indomitable spirit shines through." - Sarah, the Duchess of York "Marc has a remarkable story and is an absolute inspiration" - Roger Daltrey – The Who Specialties: For conferencing visit www.marcwoods.com for executive coaching www.equiida.com
