In this audio-only course adapted from Ben Sullins’ Free the Data podcast, Ben talks to Dr. Satya Mallick about computer vision, a popular field of artificial intelligence that enables computers and systems to derive information from digital images, videos, and other visual inputs, and take action based on that information. It’s what makes technology like facial recognition and self-driving cars possible. Satya details his work in OpenCV (Open Computer Vision), a popular platform for developing machine learning and AI type applications, whether that be on a device or in the cloud. Satya shares his thoughts on OpenCV and artificial intelligence, why and how you can learn more about it, and goes deep into how the different parts of computer vision function.
