    Under Preliminaries – Setting yourself up for success we’ll look at:

    · Researching the fantasy genre and sub-genres

    · Who are you writing for?

    · The elevator pitch

    · Writing practices, tools, place, space and time and ritual. I’ve also thrown in some random tips there

    · Self-care

    Under World-building we’ll dive into:

    · Building the World

    · Magic

    · Map-making

    · Characters & Creatures

    · Databases

    · Research

    · Timeline

    · Terminology / Series-specific jargon

    When it comes to Structure we’ll discuss:

    · Plot Outline

    · Chapters

    · Point of view

    · Character Rhythm and “Scaffolding”

    Then it’s time to Write the Thing where we’ll cover:

    · Some of my personal tips

    Editing is a very important step too, so we’ll touch on:
