    Description

Emerging economies have become one of the most important areas for businesses and manufacturers over the last decade. This trend has occurred due to an increase in the production of goods and services that cater towards emerging economies and the rise of these countries and regions. However, while emerging economies continue to dominate the market, very few businesses and entrepreneurs know how to navigate the environment and understand what customers require and what it takes to be successful. This course explores these factors by including culture and traditional norms to provide a greater understanding of the challenges faced by businesses and entrepreneurs and how to over come these challenges in emerging economies.

The first part of the series introduces your to emerging economies and their importance and accompanies the lecture with a case study illustrating the possible failures that can occur. The second part of the series discusses anthropology and culture and how they aid product development and the improvement of goods and services. This section is accompanied by a case study to illustrate how a multinational become a successful business in numerous emerging economies over the last 3 decades.

These topics are later concluded, emphasising the important points and facts that you need to remember when establishing a business or product in an emerging economy.

    Instructor's Courses
Over the last 15 years my education has focused specifically on the development of strategies in both private and public sectors. My most recent education includes an MBA specialising in Innovation and Entrepreneurship and a Master of Science in the field of Development (Urban) Planning from the University of Cape Town and University of the Witwatersrand and respectively. This educational history includes everything from Infrastructure, gender mainstreaming, transport, housing, economic development and digital development and the potential impact it has on regional development. In many ways my education has broadened my view of social structures and the relationship between business, governments, and citizens, expanding my knowledge of the numerous possibilities and opportunities for infrastructure development. These opportunities relate to climate resilience and development, public transport, housing, cities innovation management and economic growth.More importantly, my education has provided me with a keen understanding on the different economies around the world and the way in which they develop their infrastructure and systems to reach their development goals. These goals include the use of sustainable energy, entrepreneurship, public transport development, housing and climate resilience tools and techniques to combat climate change. This allows me to provide comprehensive courses that assist you not only in your job but in your personal life when making decisions.
