In this course, learn how to design a data governance program from scratch. Instructor Lauren Maffeo explains what data governance is, why every organization needs it, and who should own it. Lauren illustrates the value of data governance frameworks, and shows you how to write a mission statement for data usage in your organization. She explains what data stewards are, why these aren’t purely technical roles, and how to convene your stewards to create a data governance council that prioritizes the most high-value initiatives.
