    Description

Did you know that an online security study by the bank Barclays projected that another decade of parents over-sharing personal information about their children online could produce 7.4 million incidents per year of identity fraud, costing more than US$856 million per year by 2030?

It's up to you to know what cyber habits to avoid, what to start doing more of, and then to pass that knowledge down to your kids. But where to start? Welcome to Cybersafety 101 for Busy Parents, a course made specifically to equip you to parent effectively and mindfully in the cyber age.

    Testimony from a Past Viewer:

“Thank you for the course….it is essential. It should be in the curriculum of every school…very compact, the title is perfect. I did it in two [sittings], I didn’t have to wait for a month to finish it. It’s a hands on type of course and I can see how I can take action beyond what I’m already doing.”

    • Give you lots of free worksheets to walk you through step-by-step conversations with your partner and children to set healthy cybersafety boundaries in your home

    • Show you how to immediately start role modeling good cybersafety habits with even the youngest members of your family

    Instructor's Courses
Hello! I'm a seasoned educator with more than 10 years in the early childhood space in the US and Asia, as well as a licensed character educator and certified AI ethicist with a strong interest in teaching the upcoming generations how to be more empathetic, communicative and collaborative (both with each other as well as with emerging forms of technology like generative AI systems). I'm also the founder of a social enterprise in Hong Kong, Kigumi Group, which does digital literacy education for kids, teachers and parents in Asia to help them combat increasing cyber problems like misinformation, cyberbullying, social media addiction, AI ethics, and more.I love teaching ethics and critical thinking to kids (and parents) and working with them on both the socio-emotional and technical sides of cybersafety, because I see that as the most effective way to address the global challenges we're facing (including climate change, increasing inequality, and ethical AI companionship).
Students take courses primarily to improve job-related skills. Some courses generate credit toward technical certification. Udemy has made a special effort to attract corporate trainers seeking to create coursework for employees of their company.
